Family Services and Programs
The Kamloops Community YMCA-YWCA values families and understands the crucial role family life plays in a child’s development. Our goal is to assist families of every shape and size cope with stress and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Services such as child care referrals, licensed preschool, parenting programs, a child interactive centre and recreational opportunities offer support and information that foster choices and informed decision making. Within safe, nurturing environments, family bonds are strengthened as children and parents are encouraged to take part in active learning and to just have fun together.
Our commitment to building a strong community starts with building strong kids and strong families. To that end, we will continue to develop and deliver values-based programs and services that will promote a healthy spirit, mind and body in all family members.
