The YWCA Week Without Violence® is a violence prevention initiative of YWCA Canada.  This year the Kamloops Community YMCA-YWCA will be one of 20 YWCA member associations hosting the Power of Being a Girl Conference as the central event of Week Without Violence .

Last year more than 45,000 people in more than 600 schools, workplaces and community organizations across Canada participated. This year we invite you to make violence a thing of the past. During the week of October 14 to 20, 2007 connect with your friends, family and neighbours to build safer communities across Canada.
