Members are responsible for their personal conduct. For your health and safety, as well as the safety of other members and staff, please adhere to the following guidelines:
· Do not enter the YMCA if you display symptoms of illness, have been ordered to self-isolate due to health reasons, have had close contact with a person who has communicable illness or have recently been out of the country
· If you are observed with symptoms of illness or appear to be feeling unwell, a YMCA staff member may ask you to leave the facility
· Ensure you properly wash your hands or use hand sanitizer while at the YMCA
· Please clean and disinfect all fitness equipment before and after use
· Follow current YMCA protocols for physical distancing and directional signage
· Appropriate athletic attire and footwear must be worn at all times
· Members must identify themselves upon request by a staff member and answer any health check questions required
· Please limit your time on cardio equipment to 30 minutes when others are waiting
· Only members who have pre-registered for group fitness classes will be permitted to attend the class
· Group class participants will remain within designated spaces and follow directions of the instructor
· Please clean and put weights and equipment away when you are finished
· Do not rest or lean on equipment
· Allow others to work in and share equipment if done in a safe manner. Equipment must be cleaned between users
· Bullying, violence, mistreatment, offensive language and profanity are not tolerated
· Please keep all clothing, bags and other sports equipment in a locker or designated spaces
· Some restrictions apply to members 12 years and under; please see the fitness staff desk for details
Members must follow staff directions all times. Please report any concerns or unacceptable behaviour to a YMCA staff member immediately. YMCA staff have the right to refuse services or remove members from the facility if any of the above are not being followed.
I have read, understand and agree to follow all of the listed guidelines. I understand that these guidelines are subject to change at the discretion of the Kamloops YMCA-YWCA. In the case of a parent or guardian with dependents under 12 years old, I understand that I am responsible for the conduct of said dependents and communicating these guidelines to them.
