Trudy has been a volunteer at the Kamloops YMCA-YWCA since 2014. When Trudy began to pursue her health and fitness goals, she found she discovered a passion for fitness that led her to pursue training as a Nia Instructor and subsequently a group fitness instructor with the Y. This simple start enabled her to fulfill her ultimate passion - to make a difference in people's lives by supporting them in their own fitness journeys.
Trudy can often be found at the Downtown Y leading Nia, Group RX or greeting members with her smile and enthusiasm as they enter our facilities. Her commitment to the mission and values of the Y is evident in her actions, and she's always willing to volunteer and help wherever she can. In addition to her own fitness classes, Trudy can be found subbing other classes, helping at special events, supporting other instructors by attending their classes, and working with Special Olympic Athletes. She always has a smile, a kind word and bundles of enthusiasm to share.
Trudy has a gift of making everyone feel welcome and included in all situations, and promoting our mission of serving the community with humility and kindness. When remarking on how busy she is, with all her volunteer activities with the Y as well as in the community, she simply responds, "I enjoy it!"
Congratulations Trudy Goold! The Kamloops Y is lucky to have you in our Y Family.
