Join this FREE Community Yoga class with VYC Ambassador, 200hr Yoga Teacher, and YMCA-YWCA Fitness Coordinator Deb Twemlow! Help celebrate YMCA Peace Week with this ages 12+ community inspired class designed to rejuvenate the body for all levels of participant. Please bring your own yoga mat.
Interactive Early Learning Drop In Centre, November 17—24
The Interactive Early Learning Drop In Centre will recognize “children’s right to basic needs; clothing, nutritious food, clean air and water, to be loved, sleep and have stuffies to cuddle with” by providing a healthy snack to the children and families attending, all week long.
The Drop In Centre will also recognize “children’s right to peace, where every child has the right to participate in peaceful gatherings and the freedom to love and be friends” by providing activities that support a children’s sense of peace from the “inside out” with calming activities and toys as well as special consideration given to creating a peaceful environment.
Giving Tree—Give Warm Woolies this Peace Week
Give a child or youth in need Warm Woolies this winter! Bring winter apparel such as mittens, hats, scarves and socks to help children and youth stay warm this winter, and place them on the Giving Tree! All donations will be passed on to organizations to distribute to children and youth in need.
