Take Care of Yourself, While we Take Care of Your Little Ones! At the Kamloops YMCA Downtown, we believe staying healthy should be easy and convenient for everyone. That's why we offer drop-in child minding services six days a week. Whether you're hitting the gym, taking a fitness class, or just need some time to recharge in the hot tub, or sauna, we've got your kids covered in a safe environment. 

If you have any questions, please email Patricia or call 250-372-7725 for more information.  Drop-ins are welcome for up to 90 minutes per child during our operating hours, staff follow YMCA child to caregiver ratios. Parent/Guardian must remain in the facility. Playcare  Hours of Operation:   Monday-Friday Mornings: 8:50am - 1:00pm Monday & Wednesday Evenings: 5:00pm - 7:00pm Saturday Mornings: 9:00am - 11:00am *Closed on Statutory Holidays

PLAYCARE HEALTH AND SAFETY

• Parents/Guardian will be required to sign child in/out of playcare.

• Water bottles are permitted. Milk bottles for infants are accepted. Please make sure child's belongings are labeled. Snacks are not permitted during playcare. 

• Diaper changing will not be done by staff. Parents will be collected from within the facility if a child requires a diaper change. Diapering is to be done in a change room facility where change stations are provided.

• Please take your child to use the toilet before arriving to Playcare

• Children will not be permitted if they are showing any symptoms of illness, and staff retain the right to refuse service.
