Non-Instructional Day & School Break Child Care

When school is out, let your children laugh and play with our experienced and caring staff. Children will enjoy themed activities that include games, outdoor play, arts and rafts, healthy snacks! Families will have peace of mind that their child is not only safe, but having fun!

At YMCA School Break Care, children 5 through 12 will become connected to their community with a true sense of belonging in a safe and fun environment. Enthusiastic and caring YMCA role models provide a healthy snack, daily outdoor play and a variety of activities that explore your child's interests. Our "YMCA: A Place to Connect" curriculum brings a standard, high-quality approach to how we deliver after school care programs.

Parent Handbook

Downtown Site 1136 - 6th Avenue, St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (lower level) The YMCA currently offers after school pick up from Lloyd George Elementary and Kamloops School of the Arts for enrollment in our Downtown After School Program. Registration is open to children in Kindergarten to age 12.

Rayleigh Site - 306 Puett Ranch Road The YMCA provides child care on school groups at Rayleigh Elementary School. Registration is open to children in Kindergarten to age 12.

Hours of Operation: 

School Break Child Care: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. - 5:30pm *Closed all Statutory Holidays

Cost: $36 per day. Opted in to receive Parent Fee Reduction.

**Opted in to receive Child Care Fee Reduction to reduce Parent Fees for children in Kindergarten and Grade 1+. Fees will be calculated based on age of child at registration.

**Affordable Child Care Benefit & Metis Benefit are accepted.
