Take part in YMCA-YWCA Week Without Violence™ October 21 - 26, 2024
During the third week of October, YWCAs observe Week Without Violence to envision and advocate for a violence-free world.
This year, the theme will center around financial abuse and trauma, presenting a series of stories and resources to empower communities. These resources aim to raise awareness, help individuals identify financial abuse, and offer pathways to safety and justice.
The YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen communities. For more than 20 years, we've set aside one week in October as a Week Without Violence - a week to raise awareness sand engage action to end the broad spectrum of violence against women and girls.
We know that not all violence is acknowledged or responded to equally and that some victims go unrecognized altogether. That's why we focus on gender-based violence, including domestic violence, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and harassment.
